“Just got this computer there are no directions with it. , how are you supposed to figure out how to set it up... its wont even take my phone number to get verified doesnt make sense i have entered an email address over and over and still nothing”

Since this Chromebook comes with a web-based OS it does require a Google or Gmail account and an internet connection in order to use or operate it properly. If this is your first experience with a Chromebook, please simply follow the instructions on the screen to complete setup.

It looks like you just got this, if you did I would contact the store you got it from or check https://www.asus.com/us/support/faq/1049298/ I googled & found this, a chrome/google site, info on youtube, etc. If you don't have another PC/LT to access the web, try using your phone. JMO best to you
