Yes monitor has camera and a microphone. Would highly recommend it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just bought this monitor and my Mac Mini does not recognize the webcam, so I'm out of luck. Also it's annoying that the volume can only be controlled using the monitor panel itself. I'm returning this monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it has a built-in camera and microphone (and speakers) but...NO, it doesn't work seamlessly on the 2020 M1 Mac mini. The video and microphone work okay (e.g, for FaceTime, Zoom, or MS Teams), however you will NOT have volume control of the monitor's speakers through the Mac. The Mac's sound preferences panel states "The selected device has no output controls". You cannot change the speaker volume manually, either--they're set at a system default (53 of 100 on my machine) and if you try to change volume through the monitor's controls it will automatically change back to default. As of 23 Dec 2020 I've found no fix for this problem; neither Apple nor Asus has any information about this problem or a possible fix.
