“Have read everything and tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling cam from device manager, installing driver from Asus, checking privacy settings to turn on cam but do not see the ASUS webcam on list. Have been doing this all day. Ideas?”

You've tried everything about the monitor itself. Have you tried going through your pc display settings? My Monitor and picture came up but I had trouble with the mic. Until I noticed in the set up instructions to check by way of my actual pc settings. I don't know if this will help, but I understand the frustration.
