Not sure about the 350 -400 mps question it's rated a 5300 throughput . We have a 3000 sq foot home and it works well all over our house. It says it works at about 300 ft but because of walls and etc I think 200 ft is closer for me. Hope this helps. JRF

You can also set this up as a mesh router by adding another ASUS router as a node to get even more coverage. You should be able to cover 4000 square feet effortlessly with this unit.

I have 25+ devices at all times on my network and can stream 4K with no issues with multiple devices. With a household of 5, there is someone always streaming, gaming, etc. Best router I have owned since my D link TriBand died.
