ANY router is compatible with a standalone cable modem, or telephone/internet modem in your case. If you are subscribed to that speedclass, then this router is extreme overkill. I would look at some of the less pricey options. Unless range is an issue or if you are a gamer. You can spend half that much and get a great router to suit your needs! Happy hunting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The router will work with your modem as long as you have a cat5e connection. As for speeds, 60mbps isn't that much. I don't think you would notice a difference using a lower end ac1900 router. This router is good for wireless range and multi device usage.
