Did you turn off the WiFi in the AT&T router? If not you’re stepping on the WiFi signal of this router. As far as an access point, you shouldn’t need one unless you just have a significant distance to cover. In that case set this one up and a mesh router and add another ASUS mesh compatible router as a node to cover your WiFi soft spots.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.By WAP I assume you mean Wireless Access Point. If so any Range Extender/Repeater should work however the Asus RP 68U AC1900 provides features specific to the Asus family of Routers and Range Extender/Repeaters.
