Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Essentially, you don't need an anti-virus program on a Chromebook. But sometimes malicious stuff can get through; I have had malicious scam pop-ups happen while on Facebook. So be alert even on a Chromebook.

Please try again later.Because even though chrome os is secured, there's still a chance of malware, phishing, etc. which is why they have that extra layer of protection with sandboxing and the titan c chip, protecting your internal hardware even though its a cloud based OS.
