try putting ur memory card in the slot made for it its what i do for my sony cybershot
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My suggestion would be removing the SD card or whatever it uses as a memory storage device and plug that directly into the computer. It's not going to come up on an app, just the normal windows media photo viewer. But at least from that folder, you can create a new folder and then move those images to what ever editing program you have so as enhance them to your liking. Other than that, I'm not sure why it's not reading it from your camera as you have stated. You can try this, make sure the program is up to date and make sure that the app you are using accepts the Nikon D3100. If not you can always suggest to the company of said app to include the usage of your device in future updates.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wow! That's like saying my BMW will not drive on the highway! I'd check the cable and make sure it actually works in another PC. If you can't get the camera to work in another computer, then you might have a bad cable. If it does work in another PC, then I would switch USB ports until I saw that my main computer recognized the camera. If all else fails, you could just read the memory card, but that can be annoying. Especially since you have a pretty decent camera.
