RAM is not, the SSD is just a standard PCIe 4.0, I bought a 2tb WD Black right there in the store and swapped them out. Just make sure to boot up and log in with the original drive first, and use the Chrome Recovery app in Chrome itself to make a USB thumb drive restoration image first, so you can reinstall the original system software onto the new drive. It will auto partition it for you too.
