• You can install a front bay unit. The cd/dvd player must have a low entry tray, as the opening is not wide enough for my cd/dvd plater. I will have to modify the front cover to have this work. IMHO the plastic cover was poorly designed.

• No, there is no option to purchase and install an optical disc drive since the PC is being sold without an optical drive. ASUS doesn't provide hardware customization/modification support.
