Worked with my M1 Macbook Air, so i would say it should with your M1 Macbook Pro as they share the same hardware minus the active cooling fan. I was also able to connect my Macbook Air via the USB C cable & the monitor was able to charge my Macbook as well while outputting video. Hope this helps!

I have not tested it with my MacBook Air M1, but a visit to the ASUS USA website shows that there is a firmware download if you intend to use this monitor with an M1 Mac. https://www.asus.com/us/Displays-Desktops/Monitors/ProArt/ProArt-Display-PA279CV/HelpDesk_Download/

It would likely work at a lower resolution. but wouldn’t be able to display the full 6K resolution of your system.

Yes, you can connect it via HDMI or Thunderbolt 3 connector.
