I couldn't get this answer and ended up buying one and when I went to register I had to call as it wouldn't let me but in not sure if that was because someone already had. After registering make sure to check you warranty as mine had already expired and I had to have them update to to reflect the receipt I had...I don't remember if they made me provide a copy of the receipt but I was able to get a warranty on mine just wasn't easy like it should be. I feel beatbuy/Asus if selling them and put them above a certain grading should also have to reset the warranty info and not leave it for us to do. Anyways hope this helps.
