• Please check the TDP of both cards, and see if the 1080 needs more power. If not, just buy a 1080 and install it.

• I've never had an issue upgrading vid cards on any ASUS product and I've used them for over 15 years. Their power supply's tend to handle quite a lot more load than the pc they're packaged with.
