Sadly the specs on Best Buy website says there are 2 x 2.5" HDD expansion bays. But they are not there. Normally when there are expansion bays and the number listed then there is a place to put your drives. But those bays do not exist on this computer. It also says there are 3 x M.2 slots but I have only seen 2 and that is also what the ASUS manual shows. The ASUS manual also does NOT mention 2.5" HDD expansion bays.

But it shows it is there per the ASUS Website (i wish the available manual that I could find had shown this) - https://www.asus.com/me-en/motherboards-components/motherboards/others/b860m-max-gaming-ax/ "Three M.2 slots (up to 128Gbps) The B860M MAX GAMING AX offers a total of three M.2 slots, including one that supports data-transfer speeds of up to 128Gbps via PCIe 5.0, two that supports 64Gbps via PCIe 4.0. This enables quicker boot-up and app load times with OS or application drives." Happy to see it does have the 3rd M.2 after all. Yeah! Now if I could just find those 2 x 2.5" expansion bays! :)
