With this specific build, no. I bought this computer literally a day ago and had a hyper 212 V2 (Which is shorter than the V1 you have) and I could not close the side panel. If you're trying to go air cooled, I would get a low profile CPU cooler like the Noctua NH-L9x65 (this is the one that I purchased and use now) which is still leagues better than the stock cooler they put in this thing. If not, just get an AIO like most people are doing.
