As of May 25th 2019 ASUS has not provided clear answer of the RAM configuration of the laptop. The ASUS's product page (specification tab) says that the laptop has 16GB of onboard memory. I believe that means 16GB are soldered and there is only one RAM slot for upgrading the laptop. I've searched everywhere to get details of the RAM configuration of this laptop (are there two RAM slots or one chunk of the ram is soldered and there is only one slot for expansion???) but have not found clear evidence. I suppose I have found something: look at this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV76p3j3eEk at 0:31 sec you can see two NVME slots and only one RAM slot..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This unit is single channeled, but don't be confused you can have two RAMs in this laptop up to 32gb . The highest specification you can get for a single DDR4 RAM is 16gb at 2666mhz max.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it does not have dual channel ram it is 1333mhz single channel. It can have 32 gbs, so to get dual channel ram you would have to buy a 16gb 2666 chip. The timings are 9 9 9 43. Im really disappointed I have to buy another 80 dollar part to make this 1599 laptop work, and at its original price it would be way to much.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The maximum amount of RAM this unit support is 32 gigabytes.
