A:AnswerI was confused a bit about which model this was because of release date discrepancies. But, I did my research and purchased it knowing it was the M GU502. Has all the specs listed on Asus. RTX 2060, 144hz screen, Hi Res Audio, metal chassis except the bottom is plastic. 16gb of ram. etc
A:AnswerI'm assuming you're referring to how large of space you can go. . . which I believe any size is fine. If you mean physical size this takes 2280.
1TB is sufficient for most but you can get a 1TB intel 660p (slower than others realatively) for $90 these days. Or if you want speed, Samsung Evo 970 or better are fantastic drives.
I installed mine and am removing it because 1500MB/s read with the installed intel drive to the samsungs 3500+ from the samsung doesn't translate into much of a difference in loading times in my personal experience gaming wise. If you do editing of sorts, I thats a different story. Plus I would take that extra cost and put it towards a memory stick for this laptop to run in dual channel.
Hope that helps!
A:AnswerAs of May 25th 2019 ASUS has not provided clear answer of the RAM configuration of the laptop. The ASUS's product page (specification tab) says that the laptop has 16GB of onboard memory. I believe that means 16GB are soldered and there is only one RAM slot for upgrading the laptop. I've searched everywhere to get details of the RAM configuration of this laptop (are there two RAM slots or one chunk of the ram is soldered and there is only one slot for expansion???) but have not found clear evidence. I suppose I have found something: look at this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV76p3j3eEk at 0:31 sec you can see two NVME slots and only one RAM slot..
A:AnswerHello Jay,
Yes this would we great BUT you said you like drawing. Please note that this screen is not touch screen and it does not support a stylus.
A:AnswerUnfortunately you cannot upgrade the graphics card in this model and same goes for other gaming laptops. The only thing you can upgrade the storage and wifi card. Also you can install another stick of ram even though there is one stick sothered to the motherboard.
A:AnswerNo, you are probably looking for this model. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-zephyrus-g14-14-gaming-laptop-amd-ryzen-9-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060-1tb-ssd-moonlight-white/6403816.p?skuId=6403816
A:AnswerSame specs and performance basically. The difference comes down to form factor, build, and aesthetic. If you don’t care much about thinness and modern looks and only want the raw speed and gaming performance I’d get the Acer.
