You should look into getting your own modem for Xfinity like the NETGEAR cm1200 and then buy the Asus GT6 rapture 2 pack for a mesh network.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you get this router, you will not need an extender. Whatever you’re paying for from Xfinity that’s what you get. If you’re paying for one gigabit Internet then one gigabit is all you’re going to get at the max. Coverage usually measured in square feet is a different matter and depends on many variables besides size of the area of your home. I can tell you that it is definitely not as easy as plugging it in based on your questions I would suggest you pay the Geek Squad to install it, and Connect it to your existing system
