I have verizon for the internet also and I sent my fios router back to verizon. I run the ethernet cable straight to my ASUS 11000 and it works fine. I have direct tv so i didn't have to keep the router. If you use verizon for tv you will still need their router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you only got internet service with Verizon just plug modem (ONT) to any router with RJ-45 (ethernet) cable. If you got TV service as well, you will need to use a MoCA adapter as a bridge to provide internet over coax signal to the cable boxes. I got both tv and internet for FiOS with a Netgear router and a Motorola MoCA adapter. It works perfectly fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am going to try this router. As for Verizon Fios TV, if you cable box has an Ethernet port, just plug in the network cable to the cable box Ethernet port and another end plug in into the router LAN port. My installer told me that TV will not work without Verizon router, but it works fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This router will connect to any modem via Ethernet. It supports fiber speeds
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This depends on whether you have FiOS TV as well, or just internet. If you have TV, then you are required to use coax from the ONT to their gateway. If you only have Internet then the ONT can be configured to use the Cat5 Jack. This Jack can be used to connect directly to any router of your choice. This is how I have my own house configured.
