I apologize for those claiming you absolutely need a modem. That is very dependent on what your internet access point is. If your internet enters your house on RJ45 you absolutely do not need a stand alone modem. If it enters as a phone line or coax (cable) line, then yes you do. I run this as a modem/router with 1gig fiber. The switch is done by the ISP outside my house and delivered into my house on RJ45 ports. I have used this as a modem for both fiber and cable internet as both are switch externally to my house to RJ45 cabling.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you will need both a DOCSIS modem, and this wireless router. There are all in one Docsis modems that include a wireless router, but this lightyears better wireless router than any of those all in ones, but does not include a modem. you are better off using the original modem provided by your ISP, or buying a new one assuming you are tired of paying the rent on it, and then paring it with this wireless router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have Cox gigablast and so far everything is working great. Easy to set up. Do not buy Netgear AX6000. It stop working after 3 months and more difficult to set up
