“Can someone please clarify for me whether or not I need an external monitor in order to get the full gaming experience from this laptop or will it be capable with just the laptop screen? I don't know much about gaming laptops and buying this as a gift. TY”

• This laptop will have plenty of performance for what you need without a monitor. However, you will get additional FPS with a monitor installed. I have attached to TimeSpy benchmark runs showing the difference.
