You should replace the stock ram entirely. It is 2 8 gig sticks. You can buy a 32 or 16 gig kit of cl22 3200 ram.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just picked one of these up, and the RAM you want to buy is the DDR4 PC4-23400 laptop memory. These are your best options (Google each of these and you'll get to the right place). CORSAIR CMSX64GX4M2A2933C19 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR4 2933 (PC4 23400) HYPERX HX429S17IBK2/32 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 2933 (PC4 23400) HyperX Impact is CAS Latency (CL) 17 memory (lower is better) and Corsair Vengeance is CL19. The Corsair you can get in 64GB setup (2x 32 gig sticks) whereas you can only get 32gb (2x 16gb sticks) for the HyperX Impact. For me, the memory amount is more important than the difference in the CAS latency, so I went with the 64 gigs of Corsair even though it's not quite as fast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should replace the stock ram entirely as it comes with mediocre 2 x 8gb sticks.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you can put any cl value ram in this, such as cl 16 and cl 20, I have 64gigs of 3200 cl 20 ram in this laptop and it works fine. Just make sure the ram is 1.2v and not 1.35v. 1.35v will be stuck at lower speeds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Replace both sticks with LPDDR4 low voltage 4.2 GHz RAM and you’re gold.
