Will this take an i7, 7th Gen CPU? null

I don't think so without a BIOS flash if even them. The i7's can use up to the Z270 I believe,

If your referring to the i7 7700 and/or 7700k. it would not be compatible with z390 motherboards. You would need to use 8th Gen CPU or newer.

The instructions say 8th and 9th gen processors so I don't believe so. You could look at what socket your 7th gen takes. The socket on this board is an LGA 1151 so it would have to match.
