I’m sorry to disappoint but the other answers are incorrect assuming the information here on Best Buy and on ASUS’ website are correct. This model, the GA402RK-G14.R96800, has “ 8GB DDR5 on board 8GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM Max Capacity : 24GB” This is directly copied from ASUS’ website shown in the photo. Please look up this model # yourself to confirm that is, unfortunately, the case. I’ve also been looking for the 32GB version of this laptop (which in defense to the other commenters also starts with “GA402RK”). Best Buy if you’re reading this: WE WANT MORE RAM! Hope this helps :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I want to second the answer by Anonymous who stated "This model, with the higher-end 6800s, comes with 16GB soldered and an empty SODIMM slot. If you want 32 GB, just slap a 16GB stick in the free SODIMM slot of the higher-end model." I came to the same conclusion (without actually having the product in hand to look at), and documented it in a longer analysis answer to a similar question. The conjecture is that the model with 6800S graphics comes with 16 GB soldered and an empty DIMM slot, whereas the model with the 6700S graphics comes with 8 GB soldered and an 8 GB stick in the DIMM slot. If this conjecture is indeed true, then to get the best performance out of the 16 GB/6800S model you want to have your friendly Geek Squad add a matching 16 GB stick to your more expensive model to give it dual-channel capability; wheras if you buy the 16 GB/6700S model you actually already have matching dual-channel 2 * 8 GB, so any upgrade to 24 GB or 40 GB will give you more memory at the cost of losing dual-channel. The ownly down-side feature of the Zephyrus G14 (2022) is that darn soldered RAM. Another downside, but this time the downside is all on Best Buy's fault is their horrible web pages, namely that Best Buy's description pages are often full of outright inaccuracies, or sometimes just omissions. One might conclude that they are doing their darnedest not to sell you a product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Based on what I've seen on Asus's website it says 16GB DDR5 on board 16GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM Max Capacity : 32GB
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless Best Buy has an exclusive model, if you look up this exact model(GA402RK) on Asus' website, it says it has 16GB soldered on, so you can probably just buy another 16GB SO-DIMM module and just install it later on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.BestBuy currently sells two versions of the 2022 G14: the model with the Radeon 6700s and the model with the Radeon 6800s (this one). The model with the lower-end 6700s comes with 8GB soldered and 8GB in a SODIMM. This model, with the higher-end 6800s, comes with 16GB soldered and an empty SODIMM slot. If you want 32 GB, just slap a 16GB stick in the free SODIMM slot of the higher-end model.
