“Does this 2022 model have one of the ram slots soldered like last years model?”

• Yes. It will likely have the one 8gb stick soldered for this model and a 16gb stick soldered on the model with 32gb of ram. I haven't seen that model on Best Buy's website though. It is still upgradable to 40 gb total ram though with a 32gb stick
