• Yes. Has built in connection to ASUS aimesh extenders. I do have a netgear extender connected to get wifi into my backyard shed. In my case it's up to the software of the extender to work with the router. This router just sees it as another connected device, and it works well.

• I recommend looking at other Asus products. Asus includes software to turn old routers into an AI Mesh network, so when I upgraded my router I was able to use my old one to extend the range twice as far!
