I bought it for my son's room for gaming PC. As we live in a rural area, limited low internet speed.it is a direct ethernet connecte to his pc and internet has jumped up to 10+mbps , and the wifi coverage is great..We live in a 3000 sq ft home..I will be on the other end of the house from his room where router is located and still have full bars..Hope that helps..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It says med to large homes. From my experience its pretty accurate
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are worried about coverage this is the right router because of the flexibility to add WAPs with their mesh system. This router is in the northwest corner of my home in my office. When in the master bedroom in the south east and furthest possible location in my home I got very weak signal. The 2.4GHz network was getting 10Mbps or less and 5GHz was not even connecting. I added a second ASUS router that works with their AI mesh bridging system and that worked WONDERS!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Range is going to be different from home to home. Materials, wall thickness neighbor competing wifi all play a part of your range. Generally speaking its not bad for the price. 2.4ghz will get better range than 5.0ghz but wifi 6 should help with range one you have your devices support it. Problem is its still fairly new and wifi devices are just starting to become more mainstream. If you’re asking about range, chances are one router isn’t going to cut it for you. You’ll probably be better suited looking at either adding another ASUS router at some point and taking advantage of AIMesh or just look at mesh routers now. It really a great feature of ASUS routers. But to answer your question, I’d guess 1500 sq feet bit that should be along the lines of other routers in this class.
