It is a simple process so you can do it by yourself even if it is your first time, we also have an upgrade guide for this device which can be found here: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/FX506HC/E17094_FX506H_FX706H_Upgrade_Guide_WEB.pdf
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The first thing I did when I received this laptop was pull up a YouTube video on how to safely remove the bottom of the laptop case so that I could install another 8GB of RAM. It was incredibly easy to do, no professional needed. Along with the extra slot for RAM, there is an extra open slot for another NVMe SSD that is just as easy to access and install more storage if needed. RAM is plug-and-play, but for an SSD you may have to look up how to use Disk Management to format the new drive you install. and choose what you want to use it for.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't ask a store to do it because it's as simple as unhinging to hooks and taking out the ram and inserting the new one. For the SSD it's also easy but I have never changed mine so I am not too sure about how to do it on laptops.
