This computer comes with one 8 GB DDR5 4800MHz C40 SODIMM RAM module and can be upgraded to a maximum of 32 GB of DDR5 4800MHz C40 SODIMM RAM. (I spent hours searching online and I can't confirm if the computer will support a memory module with faster latency (lower number) than 40 so I would recommend sticking with that since I can confirm that 40 is the latency that came with the 8 GB module that came with the device and the upgraded RAM that I purchased works just fine on my computer. CAS Latency is often abbreviated as CL or C and then the number. The lower the number the faster it is.) If you don't already have the upgrade guide from ASUS you should download the PDF so you can see how to access the RAM slots on the computer. You would just go to the ASUS support website and put in your model number. If you want 16 GB of total RAM you can just purchase an additional 8 GB module and install it in the second open slot on the computer. (Best Buy doesn't carry the 8 GB size and most places I looked at a 16 GB module only costs around $5.00 more so I wouldn't waste my money by buying an 8 GB module.) I maxed out my RAM with 2 - 16 GB Corsair Vengence DDR5 4800MHz C40 SODIMM modules that I purchased at Amazon for a maximum of 31.2 GB of usable RAM (771 MB is Hardware Reserved) , see attached screenshots. You can find the same 16 GB module in a single pack here at Best Buy, you would just need to purchase 2 modules if you intend to max out your computer since they don't have a 2 pack at this time.
