It'd be well over what you need for editing 4k

I like to upscale SD content... in my case old episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000 which are SD, interlaced content from DVDs. I use Topaz Video AI and it definitely works this card VERY HARD. I'm sure using this card in Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve, you should get very good results. 16GB of Vram goes a long way in workloads like yours and mine. Even when the card is working hard, it's fairly quiet. I have the card myself and to this day I'm glad I bought the card.
