It depends. Most security camera DVR's have limited the functionality of their USB ports to keyboard/mouse or storage devices. Unfortunately , this device doesn't have it's own internal PC to handle configuration. So unless your DVR has WiFi configuration software built into it, you are unlikely to be able to connect it to your WiFi with this device
