I use this device on my laptop so I can have access to the 5 GHz band that my router allows. The normal wireless wifi device inside the laptop only allows access to the 2.4 GHz band which is slow. The Asus Usb-Ac53 Nano actually adds a virtual wireless device that works perfectly with the 5 GHz band and my speed has really increased for down and uploads. It works through the usb port on the laptop so I can only assume that it would work the same on a PC. Hope this helps.

My computer has always been connected to our modem via ethernet. A couple of months ago I decided to move my computer but I was not able to move the modem. That's when I found out my wifi didn't work. Best Buy had to install the USB plug. It still didn't work, I guess it was too far from modem. ATT gave me a device which enhanced the wifi. Works great now.
