“My HP ProBook Laptop W10, has built in bluetooth, it randomly forgets the bluetooth HW is there, and requires a full power down, wait, etc. and sometimes it remembers it's bluetooth for another day or so. Will this work instead of the built in bluetooth?”

Yes, it will work, we recommend that you disable the built-in Bluetooth for stability issues when using this adapter.
