• Yes. I also bought this for my brother and it works great for his pc. It’s just a monitor to start out and he can use it as a second one once he gets a better one. The quality is good if it’s just for basic gaming.

• Correct, both HDMI 1.4 and VGA signal inputs are supported. As long as the PC has those outputs, they are compatible.
