The ssd was a weird off brand. It was the first thing I replaced. If you replace with samsung you can use samsung magician to clone, though this laptip has only 1 slot. So if cloning, you will need to do so externally.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know if I know the brand of the existing drive, but i installed a cheap 512 m.2 drive off a-zon. I cloned it with diskgenius and it cloned the drive, but wouldn't boot. I would get a blue screen. I had to use the new cloned drive to recover the drive and wipe and re-install windows. I don't know why, but it booted fine after that. Had to re-configure my windows preferences, and it still had the Asus proprietary programs installed, which was fine. You may get the cloned drive to work right away, but i couldn't. I don't know what win 11 didn't like, but I eventually got the new drive to work. Hope that helps!
