• There should have been one in the box. However, I know some people do not carefully unpack their PCs, and since power supplies, mice, cables, etc. are relatively light, and might have been packed in an unexpected way, they have accidentally thrown out the "extras."

• Personally, I have no problem with a barrel-type connector, but if you absolutely must have USB charging, you can buy the adapter separately--they sell multiples that will fit any need.
