• i am pretty sure it is a TN panel. The viewing angle and color has nothing to praise for. ultralight basic, inexpensive laptop that does basic tasks.

• In lie flat mode at my local Best Buy the light gray (used for menu bars) is greenish yellow viewed at 45 degrees, so I suppose TN. IMHO screen is the weakest feature, but sale value is still good.

• Not sure which, but the screen is always where these budget laptops save you money, so don't complain. Adjust the screen tilt for best viewing or use an external. This is an excellent buy aside from that.
