Here's what happens when you turn on the numeric keypad that's built into the touch pad: 0123456789/*-% The touchpad reacts like a touch screen: tap for keypad input and drag your finger to move the mouse. I'm becoming a fan here at the store answering your question. BTW, the touchpad has a tiny white LED in upper right corner by numeric keypad on/off, so should be easy for sighted folk to determine when it's on. on/off requires a push, more than just a tap.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.One of the tradeoffs of a 14" screen is that there is less space for the keyboard, so it is standard to lack a 10 key. However, you can either buy a separate one to connect at a reasonable price or use the keys along the top of the keyboard. Some laptops (not this one, unfortunately) also have a numeric function built into the keyboard that is accessed using a Function key. Asus puts theirs in the keypad instead. Matter of taste, actually, for the user.
