• You can probably connect just about any printer made in the past 10 years, right out of the box. For advanced functions (paper out, ink low, etc.), you might need to install the software that comes with the printer.

• Yes, you can use a thermal printer with the ASUS VivoBook 14 (Q423SA). The laptop has USB ports that you can use to connect a thermal printer.
