• The RAM or memory is not upgradeable, the SSD is upgradeable. Yes, an external GPU is supported.

• Of course, it's not a nice deal if you cannot upgrade memory. There's no good deals at all. If you see a good cpu and gpu, memory is soldered. If it has a good cpu and nice memory, it does not have USB-C nor Thunderbolt. etc. First time I wanna buy a macbook.
