The laptop has only one PCIe 4.0 m2 slot. I imaged the 512GB drive onto a PNY 4TB PCIe 4.0 stick and have had no issues with functionality or heat.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most Windows 11 laptops built in the last few years will easily take a 2TB drive. Some MOBOs/CPUs have a limit of 4TB. As this is the newest CPU and MOBO I would be shocked if it was truncated to 2TBs. A detailed spec for the ASUS MOBO would be a better answer,
