• If the second sim only supports 2G, then the second line will not work on AT&T network (no voice or data). I think T-mobile still has a 2G network, so it may work there.

• Sim 1 can support both 3G and 4G LTE, however sim 2 slot can only connect to 2G networks so while they are both active, you cannot access high speed data on sim 2, only voice and text.
