Get a switch! This switch accepts a single Cat-5 cable input, and has 4 out ports. I bought mine from Best Buy, it's this model NETGEAR - 5-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps (Mega Bits Per Second) Gigabit Unmanaged Switch, and it works perfectly. Kind of misleading, 5 port really means 1 port in and 4 ports out. Nothing to do but power it up and plug in your cables. Voila' ! Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the nodes plugged into 5 port gigabit switches, and that works well. The router node is hooked up in the closet where the structured wiring is pulled to in the house with the modem and a gig switch, then the other nodes are plugged into another switch. One in the downstairs entertainment center and the other in an upstairs tech hub/loft. You wouldn't have to run with as many switchesas I do. Unless, like me, you have several devices that you need/want to run over wired connections. If most everything is running over WiFi, you would only need one switch at the router device to make backhaul effective.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you need a network switch after the router
