Actually, this phone does NOT audibly announce calls. I purchased this phone on the basis of the previous commenter's statement. When I got the phone home, I could not find anything in the manual that referred to talking caller ID. So I called AT&T customer service directly, and the technician told me that this phone does not have that feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually it does NOT. This phone does not live up to its reputation of an AT&T product. I get at least 2 robocalls per day, and it's frustrating and terribly annoying when I constantly have to put them on my block list. Also, the mute ringer feature NEVER works. I would be taking a nap ( for example), and all of a sudden the phone would ring loudly!!! And my phones clearly show that I have the "mute ringer" feature on. I HONESTLY HATE this phone. Unfortunately, since I don't have the box that it came in, I cannot return it!!! Don't waist your money buying this phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The phone announces the call but has many issues when placing calls and answering calls. I am about to return it an get some other brand.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We just installed this model (DL72310) and found that it does announce the caller, once. Its voice quality on message play-back is head-and-shoulders better than the Panasonic item it replaced.
