A: AnswerActually, this phone does NOT audibly announce calls. I purchased this phone on the basis of the previous commenter's statement. When I got the phone home, I could not find anything in the manual that referred to talking caller ID. Rotton Phone
Buying this phone was a major mistake. Approximately 25% of the calls are dropped midway through the call. The "unsurpassed range" will not do you any good if the phone hangs up when you are in the middle of a call (and this happens with 1 out of every 4 calls).
