No. This is a cordless phone. It powers off the base. So if base doesn’t have power the phones don’t work. You need a corded phone connected directly to the telephone outlet. It will also depend on whether your phone system is copper wired or fiber optic like Verizon FIOS which has a battery backup that lasts just for a few hours.
