YES. BEST LAND LINE I HAVE EVER HAD. HAS A FEATURE THAT ASKS THE CALLER FOR THEIR NAME AND GIVES YOU THE CHOICE AS TO ANSWERING OR NOT.
YOU CAN TURN THIS OFF AND IT WILL STILL GIVE YOU CALLERS ID.

Good phone over all. And yes it tells the name and number of who is calling. Takes a little getting used too in switching between speaker and back to normal phone. I needed new cordless phones for work. Now that I am working from home and could be on the phone 40 hours a week and 10 hours a day, I needed a phone that had speaker capability. On a full charge one of the handsets will last 6 hours, so the set had 4 phones with it; and I only now need 2 to get through a nights work.

Yes, it announces who is calling, even with "toll free caller"   Interesting feature, as my previous phone resembled it but did not announce the name...   helpful
