• yes it can I don't know off hand how to do it I would need to read the instructions but I do remember reading that it is selectable and includes how to do so. If you can not locate your instruction booklet I would suggest downloading the instructions on line or go to the web site of AT&T and I am certain you can find how to do so there if not leave them an email asking how and they will likely send you another instruction booklet besides talking you through it if you call from a separate phone say a cell phone or work.

• yes there is an option to disable the caller id announcement under the settings on the main phone with the answering system.
