Yes, the phone works but Caller ID and the answering machine don't.

The phone is AP powered, you would need a UPS to keep it powered through an outage.

No and you have to reset the machine after any power outage.

Yes it will work. except for the answering machine, speaker phone mode, caller ID etc.
