The phone sends out a recognizable signal. You connect with a phone. So if your hearing aids can be controlled by a cell phone, then perhaps. As for downloading contacts, yes. I don’t know about android, but iPhone will also allow you to differentiate between all contacts synced and favorited contacts. Hope this helped
